Going On

Researching (agents and editors. again. forever.)

Reading (chaim potok. oh,chaim. i lurrrrve you so.)

Walking (kids to bus stops, around blocks, around lakes, around neighborhoods, around farms.)

Eating (mostly plants up till dinner time. need to find me a butter plant. coconut oil may replace butter. or not.)

Setting Aside (the zero-draft manuscript [fifth gift] for a week before i start the actual revision process)

Opening (files of other set-aside manuscripts. anything ready to try submitting again? maybe.)

Laundering (natch.)

Shopping (for christmas. just a little. first box arrived last week. tee hee.)

Craving (a part in a musical. we saw “joseph” this weekend and it makes me want to audition for “thoroughly modern millie” next week.)

Weeding (oh, wow — i found my rock wall. *that’s* where it’s been hiding all summer.)

**What’s going on with you?**

  1. What a lovely catch-up post. I feel like we just sat down and had a nice chat.

Me: School starting, middle child to kindergarten, sudden surplus of kid-free time during youngest child’s nap. Thoughts of drafting again – craving something new. Waiting to hear back on manuscripts that have been submitted, still clinging to hope but resigned to the need for more revisions. Burgeoning belly – regular clothes too small, maternity clothes too big. Lots of happy. =)

  3. I wish I knew how you had the time to be in play’s with your kids in all their various activities. I grew up as a theatre brat and loved every second. Haven’t been in a single play since high school and I don’t see an end in sight ever.

Good look writing and querying. Fingers crossed.

  7. Disneyland, three times in one week, including a Happy Last Day of summer party with my boys today.

So excited to hear how the submissions go.
