| I went to my local independent Bookshop today (Hi, Foldlore in Midway, Utah!) and had the best time taking part in their book swap. This is a thing that is just what it sounds like: Bring a book. Take a book. They had a ticketing system, so I got to put my 4 gently used (and totally loved) books on the table. The cute bookstore employee handed me 4 tickets (plus one because she’s nice), and I shuffled through the fun piles and chose 4 gently used books to bring home. This is a thing you could do. It would be fun. It wouldn’t be a ton of work. You could put a flyer on your neighbors’ doors and then set up a table in front of your house with a few good books (if you’re like me, a few good books you already have multiples of) and maybe a plate of pastries. Swap. Laugh. Talk about how much you love the books. See what happens. |
