Happy Making

January 25, 2011 by becca

In case you need it on this fine, blustery day, here is a short list of happy-making stuff.

(In no particular order.)

Wheaty artisan bread with sunflower seeds in.

PSYCH on Netflix instant.

Clean cars.

More locker shelves = cleaner mudroom floor. I bet you’d forgotten our mudroom even had a floor, hadn’t you? Oh, was that only me?

Books to read.

Little boys with gelled hair.

Green smoothies.

Hope.

Switch-on-able fireplaces.

Painted toenails.

(I hope you’re enjoying your little things today, too.)

Ha ha ha! You very well Know that you are not the only one who has been missing their mudroom floor. Or their front entry way floor, in my case.

    Thanks for the happy things!

I have a sudden urge to paint my toenails, even though it’s winter time. Also? I’m smiling. You tend to have that effect. Yay for happy!

Y’know, so many blogs this week are filled with encouragement and optimism. I guess Salon.com is right – we’re weirdly happy. And guess what: That’s just fine with me.

So . . . do you have a good green smoothie recipe? Because everyone tells me they’re gross.

I love that you make homemade bread!!! I’m trying to do the same (trying to get my kids to get off that spongy bread…ew). I need to get some recipes from you (but my emails changed, those emails weren’t getting to me and going to someone I didn’t even know. *sigh*)

p.s. Love the Psych on Netflixs!

Oh, the netflix makes me happy too. And green smoothies, huh? What kind do you make? I love myself a mango smoothie, myself, but my dad says it’s tart vomit masquerading as a fruit. Now I don’t feel so hungry.
