Well, keeps beginning, I guess.
It’s Family Reunion time. Want to know what that means? Here are my parents, Grandma and Grandpa. They are cute and wonderful and as frugal as can be. All good things. Here are my sibs: J, M, M, N, (then me), B, M, E, M, and J. They (we) are all married. Prepare to add the in-laws: A, D, M, C, S (that’s Husband), J, S, K, K, and A. And we average 4 kids each. (Well, each couple.)
That’ll do to be getting along with.
We’re staying at a converted pioneer church in a small town somewhere not very near a freeway. (You can’t make this stuff up, friends.) There will be plenty of details to come, but I’m signing off for the weekend, so if you don’t hear from me by Tuesday, send rescue to the converted pioneer church not very near a freeway.
(Also: Here’s a self-promotion moment. My publisher is owned by/partnered with Deseret Book, which runs a summer sale. This year, BBM is selling for really little money (cheaper than I can get it) and if you have cute teen girls who need cute teen girl reads, you can pick up a few (dozen) for real cheap, pal. That is all.)

I’ll have to get another BBM. I went hiking/rock climbing with a writer friend and handed it over to her to read. It never made it down. So my copy of BBM is lost somewhere on the top of a cliff. Yeah, as much as I love you, I wasn’t climbing back up the face of that rock in the dark. Maybe someone else found it, and now it has a good home.
That’s quite the recipe for alphabet soup you’ve got there. Enjoy!
Um…did I do the math right? Sixty-two people in that converted church not very close to the freeway? I hope it’s got a shower!!
Have fun!
Um, wow.
Having just spent a whole bunch of time with a whole bunch of people I’m related to (not as many as you, though,) I’ve learned that sometimes your need an extended vacation from the extended family vacation. And like DeNae said, I hope you have several showers. Have tons of fun!
Sounds like it has possibilities of being great or horrible! I’m hoping for the great for you!
oh.
oh.
oh.
I spent about 45 minutes today trying to balance both my parents and my in-laws and that just about put me into a psych ward.
Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.
