I’m working on writing a scene in which someone jiggles a cord.
And I wrote “joggles” and Word didn’t stop me.
I want that to be a word. It’s a better description for cord wiggling, anyway. And it sounds cooler. “Just joggle that cord and see if it fixes the problem.”
Theoretically, if Word didn’t mark it as a misspelling, it’s a word, right? And so I can use it? And everyone will think it’s a typo, because unless I am the only person who reads books and goes, “That’s not a word, Leann,” I’ll get reviews that mention typos (which, no thank you).
So “joggles” will be a word I say, even if I never commit it to print. And probably I’ll look it up to see if it means what I want it to mean.
