I’m just nerdy enough to love that. And I’m going to try to write it a lot of times today.
Just thought you might need to know.

So the school visit? It was fun. It took them a minute to warm up to me, but I had them laughing for at least the last hour and a half. I didn’t even have to resort to vomit stories, which is a relief, since I would have had to make one up on the spot, and we all know how I feel about lying to large groups of impressionable teens.[1] I did tell them some of the Skunk Saga. Not because I couldn’t fill two hours without it, but because I was illustrating a point about passion: When I feel strongly about something, it comes across in my writing. Emotion travels. Or, as Brandon Mull sas it, Passion is contagious.[2]
And today I am feeling very grateful for clean water running through my pipes inside my very own home. I woke up so thirsty this morning, and somehow nervous about drinking the water. I must have had some weird (and, as always, unremembered) dream about dangerous water. But hey! It’s good. The water, that is. Hooray for clean water, as much as I need.
[1] indeed, we do — i adore the opportunity and snatch it at any time, in any place.
[2] and i like it his way, because it’s got that whole Global Germ Concern feel to it.
