Here’s a little story…

October 6, 2011 by becca

Once upon a time I needed to raise the hem of a borrowed Homecoming dress. (We call this the HOOK.)

Then I cried, remembering that I don’t know how to sew. (… And Backstory.)

Then I stopped crying and put the whole thing off just one more day. (Rising action, friends.)

Homecoming is Saturday. (Crucial information, raising the stakes.)

The hem is still long. (Disappointing conclusion – like Dystopia or something.)

The end. (But wait — plenty of room for a sequel.)

Disappointing conclusion – like Dystopia or something. Hahahahahahaha. That pretty much sums up dystopia for me.

Aw (sad aw). So sad the hem is long. But I love the plotting! 😉

Ha! I mean sad for the dress but great post. There’s the outline for the book i’m going to write. I don’t need writing classes, i just have to read your blog!

And see if Jayne’s sister Tess is coming down. She is amazing with needle and thread.

LOL. God knew what he was doing when he sent me only boys. Renting tuxes? I can totally do that!

Once I sewed my sister into her Homecoming dress. When she came home to change between activities, nobody was there to help her out of it. I think she did a ninja-contortionista thing to cut herself out. My kids love that story. (Maybe it’s the parts where I can’t remember details so I just make them up.)

Your backstory sounds like my backstory. Especially the crying part 😉
